COOKING
and TOURING in Tuscany

Five-night
program, from Tuesday to Sunday.
Contents: 4 cooking lessons (hands-on), 4 tours to art towns, winery and
wine tasting.
Especially dedicated to those who love Italian cuisine,
Tuscan wine and culture, this is a touring "hands-on" cooking
course by expert home-cooks and one chef, teaching traditional Tuscan
and Italian cuisine. Cooking classes by different cooks, in different
kitchens and locations, so to give you a wide experience of cooking styles.
And every day you will have a tour to visit an art town or a special site
of our region.

Flying note: we suggest to land at Pisa G.Galilei International
Airport. Please check convenient fares of RyanAir from London and Delta
from New York.
Optional transfer
from Pisa or Florence airport
to your accommodation on request, Euros 25 per person.
Train note: direct trains to San Miniato from Pisa airport, from
Pisa town and from Florence SMN station, almost every hour.
Driving note: from Florence or from Pisa, take the S.G.C freeway,
also called Fi-Pi-Li, and exit at San Miniato. Not far from the exit is
the San Miniato r.r.station, where we can meet you.

- -Tuesday - Arrivals
in the evening. Free pick up at San Miniato r.r.station between
5 and 6 pm. Home made dinner by your host Loredana.
- -Wednesday -
Cooking class by Concetta at the Querceto farm. After lunch, visit of
the Castello dei Vicari in Lari, a 14th Century Medieval castle
of the Medici family. Also we'll visit the Martelli's artisanal pasta
factory. Dinner. Home made dinner by your host Loredana.
- -Thursday - Class
by Michela at her farm-house to enjoy making and baking pizza
and schiacciata in an antique wood-fire brick-oven... and eating all
together with good wine and Vin Santo al fresco in her garden. Afternoon
visit of San Miniato town and visit of a renowned winery with
wine tasting. Dinner at your lodge.
- -Friday - Morning
tour to Volterra, the fascinating town where you'll discover
the Etruscan, Roman and Medieval history and art. Lunch at typical restaurant
in town. Evening cooking class by chef Bartolo based on historical recipes
of Italian Renaissance, followed by dinner at his restaurant.
- -Saturday - Cooking
class by Emanuela on traditional Tuscan cuisine and saffron specialties
at her farm, lunch with wine of her production. After lunch tour of
San Gimignano, the medieval "towers town". Home made dinner by
your host Loredana.
- Sunday - Loredana's
cooking class in her kitchen, based on traditional Italian hand made
pasta, at her farm-house. Departures After lunch, transfer to San
Miniato r.r.station for departures.
Lodging in
nice rooms with bathroom at Vallacchi
farm house, in the countryside near San Miniato, with garden and swimming
pool.
